Red Wines

This medium bodied red wine is a beautiful inky dark violet color and has bold spice overriding ripe fruit flavours and concentrated textures from mature tannins representative of the great growing season. This wine is presently showing flavours reminiscent of blackberry, cherry, raspberry, with hints of, cloves, cinnamon, tobacco, coffee, and nuances of smoky, toasted French oak. This wine has a medium acidity that is balanced and mouthwatering, creating freshness on the pallet. Tannins are moderate and velvety giving a long lasting finish that will further soften with time.

This wine will age nicely 7-10 years.

Our 2021 Cabernet Franc has an elegant floral nose, a medium body, ripe varietal fruit, balanced acidity, soft, mature tannins creating a rich, long lasting mouthfeel. This wine is presently showing ripe varietal fruit character including violets, blueberries, currants, maraschino cherries, as well as a dusty, chalky, earthiness reminiscent of previous Cabernet Franc vintages, and a nice hint of French oak. This wine was matured 14 months in 100% French oak and will age well 7-10 years.

This bold Bordeaux style blend is true to the rocky soils of River Stone with a rich earthy minerality and is presently showing ripe black berry fruit including, black current, black cherry, plum with hints of vanilla, tobacco, mocha, wild sage and French oak.  It has balanced acidity and moderate silky tannins that will soften in time.  This wine is drinking nicely now and will continue to age well 7 - 10 years.

This full bodied Merlot was made to showcase the ripe varietal fruit character expressive of our rocky/gravelly terroir. This wine is presently showing dark berry notes that include black cherry, sweet blackberry, black currant, and plum with a hint of French oak. It has a full body, balanced acidity and moderate tannins that are softening nicely with age.

The 2020 Cabernet Merlot is comprised of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 50% Merlot. This full bodied red wine blends the distinctive varietal flavours and qualities of these two grapes producing a bold, fruit forward wine. This wine was matured 18 months in 100% French oak and should age well 7-10 years. Only 104 cases produced.

The 2019 Corner Stone is 33% Merlot, 33% Cabernet Franc, 16% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Malbec, 6% Petit Verdot, Aged 18 months in French Oak barrels, this fruit forward blend is rich in flavour, colour and texture and is structured for longevity. Should age well 7 - 10 years.

With reflection comes wisdom and insight. The 2019 Reflections is our fortified red wine produced from a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc, the last grapes to be harvested in the fall of 2019.
