2015 Milestone

Ranked the #1 Wine of the Year in 2023 and scored 96pts from Carl’s Wine Club!

This long imagined wine was inspired by a legendary wine of mythical esteem called Chateau Cheval Blanc 1947.  Both our Milestone and the Chateau Cheval Blanc were grown on complex alluvial soils in a long and hot season. Both contain a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc.  The 1947 vintage was of renowned quality much like the 2015 vintage in the South Okanagan. Aged in premium French Oak for 24 months.

2018 Corner Stone

The warm 2018 growing season in the South Okanagan provided ideal conditions for Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, allowing the fruit to reach full maturity while retaining the freshness that defines our estate wines. This Cabernet-led Bordeaux blend is rich and structured, with concentrated notes of blackcurrant, dark cherry, cassis, violet, cedar, and savoury graphite. The warmth of the vintage delivers depth and generous texture, mineral definition and refined, persistent tannins. Powerful yet composed, the 2018 is a cellar-worthy red that will continue to reveal complexity with time.

2018 Reflections

The 2018 Reflections is our fortified red wine produced from a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc, the last grapes to be harvested in the fall of 2018. Fortified with brandy distilled from River Stone wines and aged 30 months in premium French oak barrels. Deep dark texture, rich mouthfeel, bold dark berry flavour.

2013 Merlot

Silver Medal Winner, SavorNW Wine Awards 2026

This full bodied Merlot was made to showcase the ripe varietal fruit character expressive of our rocky/gravelly terroir. This wine is presently showing dark berry notes that include black cherry, sweet black berry, black current, and plum with a hint of French oak. It has a medium body, balanced acidity and moderate tannins that are softening nicely with age.

This full-bodied Merlot showcases ripe varietal fruit shaped by our mineral-rich terroir. The 2014 vintage reveals layers of black cherry, blackberry, blackcurrant, and plum, complemented by a subtle touch of French oak. Balanced acidity and moderate tannins provide structure, while time in the bottle has allowed the tannins to soften into a smooth, elegant finish.

2015 Merlot

Gold Medal Winner, 2018 All Canadian Wine Championships

A refined expression of Merlot from the 2015 vintage offering concentrated aromas and flavours of blackberry, black cherry, plum, and cassis layered with notes of cedar, baking spice, and subtle earth. Matured gracefully over time, it shows beautifully integrated French oak, balanced acidity, and supple tannins that lend the wine depth, elegance, and a lingering finish.

2017 Merlot

The 2017 vintage benefitted from a moderate growing season, providing the ideal conditions for our Merlot to reach peak phenolic ripeness while maintaining its signature elegance. This wine serves as a pure reflection of our estate’s rocky terroir, delivering a sophisticated profile of black cherry, juicy plum, and wild currants underpinned by a fine-grained structure.

2018 Merlot

Born from a warm growing season in the South Okanagan, the 2018 Merlot is a bold, powerful expression of our estate vineyard. This high-heat vintage produced exceptionally concentrated fruit, resulting in a robust profile of sun-ripened black cherry, jammy blackberry, and deep notes of cassis.

2019 Merlot

The 2019 vintage highlights the elegance of a cooler growing season, yielding a Merlot defined by its tension, precision, and remarkable aging potential. This year favored a slower, more gradual ripening process, resulting in a sophisticated wine with bright acidity and a focused core of blackcurrant, spice, and earthy minerality.

2014 Cabernet Franc

This single varietal Cabernet Franc grown on the home vineyard from 13 year old vines shows maturity and true to varietal characteristics of black cherry, and dusty baking cocoa. Think black forest cake without the whip cream.  These vines were meticulously managed to maintain optimum quality and a timely harvest.

2017 Cabernet Franc

Only 145 cases of the 2017 Cabernet Franc were produced.  This wine has an elegant floral nose, a medium body, ripe varietal fruit, balanced acidity, soft, mature tannins creating a rich, long lasting mouthfeel.

2018 Cabernet Franc

Only 185 cases of the 2018 Cabernet Franc were produced.  This wine is presently showing ripe varietal fruit character including violets, blueberries, currants, maraschino cherries, as well as a dusty, chalky, earthiness reminiscent of a warm, ripe vintage.

Crafted in a classic Old World style, the 2019 Cabernet Franc was born from a cooler South Okanagan vintage that favoured finesse over power. The slower ripening period allowed for deep aromatic complexity from a vintage celebrated for creating cellar-worthy reds. Only 150 cases of the 2019 Cabernet Franc were produced.

The 2013 vintage was warm, dry, and generally favourable, producing wines with ripe fruit character, balanced structure, and depth. This bold Bordeaux style blend expresses varietal fruit character with hints of vanilla, black current, black cherry, plum, wild sage and French Oak.  It has balanced acidity and moderate tannins.

The 2017 vintage reflects a cooler, later-ripening South Okanagan season, creating a Merlot-dominant Bordeaux blend of depth, freshness, and quiet power. A warm, dry finish to the growing season allowed the fruit to develop rich notes of black plum, cassis, and dark cherry, balanced by savoury hints of cedar, cocoa, and graphite.

The 2018 growing season in the South Okanagan was marked by sustained summer heat and abundant sunshine, conditions that encouraged thorough ripening across the vineyard. The warmth promoted rich colour, generous fruit character, and excellent concentration in the Merlot, while the region’s cool nights helped retain freshness and definition. As a result, this Merlot-dominant Bordeaux blend is a bold and expressive reflection of the vintage with refined concentration.

The cooler, more moderate 2019 growing season in the South Okanagan encouraged slow, even ripening and preserved the natural freshness that defines this cellar-worthy Merlot-driven Bordeaux blend. Elegant and composed in its youth, the 2019 will continue to evolve beautifully in bottle.

2014 Malbec

The warm 2014 growing season in the South Okanagan provided Malbec with the heat and extended ripening time needed to develop its hallmark depth, colour, and generous dark-fruit character. Now beautifully evolved, this wine reveals layers of blackberry, black plum, blueberry, cocoa, and sweet spice, with mature notes of cedar, leather, and dried herbs emerging on the finish.

2017 Malbec

The 2017 growing season in the South Okanagan brought a cool, wet spring followed by a warm, dry summer, allowing Malbec to ripen steadily and develop both depth and definition. This vintage expresses a more structured, classical side of the variety. Now beautifully evolved, the 2017 Malbec offers supple texture, fresh acidity, and emerging notes of cedar, tobacco, and dark chocolate on its long finish.

2018 Malbec

The hot 2018 growing season in the South Okanagan was ideally suited to Malbec, producing a wine of impressive depth and concentration. The warmth of the vintage gives the palate a broad, velvety texture and ripe, polished tannins, while River Stone Estate’s terroir brings mineral definition and a savoury, earthy complexity. Beautifully evolving in bottle, the 2018 Malbec offers a powerful expression of the variety from a great year!

2019 Malbec

The cooler 2019 vintage in the yielded a Malbec of remarkable elegance and structural precision. Shifting away from the opulence of hotter years, this vintage showcases a vibrant, lifted profile of blueberry, black cherry, and bramble fruit, accented by delicate notes of violet, sage, and white pepper.

2017 Cabernet Merlot

The 2017 growing season brought a cool, wet spring followed by a warm, dry summer:  conditions that allowed Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon to ripen steadily and retain exceptional balance. Co-fermented from 55% Merlot and 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine is seamless and composed, combining Merlot’s dark plum, black cherry, and cocoa richness with Cabernet Sauvignon’s cassis, cedar, graphite, and refined structure.

2018 Cabernet Merlot

The hot 2018 growing season produced a rich and concentrated expression of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Co-fermented from 56% Merlot and 44% Cabernet Sauvignon, this beautifully evolving in bottle reveals emerging notes of tobacco leaf, espresso, leather, and dark chocolate through its long, structured finish.

2019 Cabernet Merlot

The cooler 2019 growing season in the South Okanagan produced a Cabernet Sauvignon–Merlot blend of remarkable precision, freshness, and ageability. Co-fermented from 52% Cabernet Sauvignon and 48% Merlot, the measured vintage preserves vibrant acidity and gives the wine a firm yet refined tannic structure, while River Stone Estate’s rocky, gravelly terroir contributes mineral definition and savoury depth.

2018 Cabernet Sauvignon

This 2018 single varietal Cabernet Sauvignon was a special project wine. The grapes for this wine came from a friend’s vineyard where their exceptional location and meticulous growing practices produce premium quality fruit. True to the varietal, this wine is rich in colour, dark berry flavour and texture and was aged 18 months in premium French oak barrels. Tannins are firm but approachable and will age gracefully with time. Only 50 cases produced! You’ll wish you had more!

2018 Merlot Syrah

Our 2018 blend of these two noble varietals showcases the very complementary characteristics of these two grape varietals, each producing exceptional varietal wines on their own. Rich in colour, texture and dark berry flavours. This wine was matured 18 months in French oak.
