Off dry in style with tropical aromas and flavours of passion fruit, grapefruit and melon and a hint of spice. The wine is nicely balanced with a small amount of residual sugar giving a soft supple mouth feel. Serve slightly chilled.

Wine Profile
Vineyard Notes
The winter of 2022-23 saw several cold events where temperatures dipped below critical bud health values. Bud break started as usual on April 28th but was uneven with many primary and secondary buds, as predicted, dead. Spring was cool but by late April the weather was warming up. May was nice and warm as was the remainder of the summer. The volume of fruit was down significantly in our vineyards which resulted in a slightly early harvest date. The Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer and Viognier were all picked by the 12th of September. Our predicted tonnage was about half of normal, but we were able to purchase both Pinot Gris and some aromatic Gewurztraminer from OPG Vineyard in Kaleden. The Viognier for this blend came from our Boulder City Vineyard. The vines were grown on sandy loam soils and farmed sustainably with particular care and attention to canopy and water management. Harvest decisions were based on winemaker’s personal preference with particular attention to sugar/acid balance and flavour.
Winemaker Notes
The grapes were hand-picked, at peak ripeness, then destemmed and pressed after a short period of skin contact time. The juice from each varietal was then allowed to settle before transferring to another stainless steel tank where it is inoculated with yeast starting the temperature controlled fermentation. Each wine was fermented individually. Following fermentation, the wines were racked off the lees several times over the next few months before blending, finning, filtering and bottling.
